Introduction

Hello! My name is Felipe de Souza, and I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Full Sail University. I’m excited to begin my Capstone journey and share my experiences through this blog. This space will be where I reflect on my progress, challenges, and milestones as I work toward completing my degree.

My Journey

My career path hasn’t been a straight line. For the past several years, I’ve worked as a District Manager overseeing multiple Dunkin’ stores. While I’ve been successful in management, I realized that I wanted to reset my professional life and pursue my passion for technology. Over the last year, I have immersed myself in programming—learning languages like C++ and Python, building projects in Android Studio and Tkinter, and strengthening my skills in databases and software testing.

Balancing work, school, and family has been challenging, but it has also been rewarding. Every step of the way, I’ve gained confidence in problem-solving and teamwork. These experiences have prepared me for the collaborative and technical challenges ahead in Capstone.

My Goals

In the short term, my focus is on succeeding in this Capstone project—delivering a meaningful, well-executed software solution while working closely with my teammates. I want to sharpen my development skills, improve my ability to communicate technical ideas, and contribute to a project that has real-world value.

Looking further ahead, my goal is to transition into a career as a Software Engineer or Product Manager at a company like Microsoft, Cisco, or Google. I want to combine my background in leadership with my technical expertise to build innovative solutions that make a difference.

Closing Thoughts

I am excited to start this journey, not only to develop a strong project but also to continue growing as a professional in technology. Through this blog, I’ll be sharing updates, reflections, and lessons learned along the way. I look forward to collaborating with my classmates and seeing how each of our projects takes shape.
